This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Silicon TItle Corporation and its subsidiaries, agents and affiliates (collectively, "Silicon Title," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, store, and share your information.

This Policy applies to information we collect from or about you: (1) when you access or use our mobile applications ("Applications"), websites ("Websites"), or products and/or services ("Products"); (2) when you communicate with us in any manner, including by email, telephone, and/or in person; and (3) from third party sources.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

The CCPA provides consumers (that are California residents as defined) with significant rights with regard to businesses that collect, maintain and/or sell that consumer’s personal information.  If a consumer is deemed a legal California resident, these consumer rights extend to wherever that consumer is conducting business, e.g., a California resident purchasing a vacation home in Florida.  The most relevant consumer rights under the CCPA are: (1) right to access, i.e., learn what personal information was collected by the business in the past 12 months; (2) right to know, i.e., learn what specific categories of personal information that will be collected by the business and purposes for which these categories will be used; and (3) right to deletion, i.e., request the deletion of the consumer’s personal information collected by the business.

We collect data to operate effectively and provide you the best experiences with our services. You will provide some of this data directly, such as when you or an agent operating on your behalf requests certain title insurance issuance, real estate closing and / or settlement services from us. 

We value your privacy and take appropriate steps to protect all confidential and Non-public Personal Information (“NPI”). Examples of NPI include, but are not limited to your bank account and transaction information, credit history, date of birth, driver's license, employment information, loan information.

We get certain information by recording how you interact with our website and / or social media by, for example, using technologies like cookies, and receiving error reports or usage data from software running on your device.  We may also obtain data from third parties (including other companies).  For example, we may supplement the data we collect by purchasing demographic data from other companies.  We may also use services from other companies to help us determine a location based on your IP address in order to customize certain services to your location. 

How We Use Your Information

Our web site uses the data we collect for three basic purposes: to operate our business and provide (including improving and personalizing) the services we offer, to send communications, including promotional communications, and to display advertising.  In carrying out these purposes, we combine data we collect through the various web site services you use to give you a more seamless, consistent and personalized experience.

Sharing Your Information

Silicon Title has a strict policy to against selling NPI and maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your NPI. 

We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any service you have requested or authorized.  When you provide payment data to make a purchase, we will share payment data with banks and other entities that process payment transactions or provide other financial services, and for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction.  In addition, we may share personal data among our affiliates and subsidiaries under shared control or ownership.  We also share personal data with vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this statement; for example, companies we've hired to provide title search, settlement or other title related services.  These vendors or agents may contact lenders, municipalities and other entities using your information to obtain payoff data and / or other account verifications. In such cases, these companies must abide by our data privacy and security requirements and are not allowed to use personal data they receive from us for any other purpose.  We may also disclose personal data as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale of stock or other assets.

Management of Communications

You can choose whether you wish to receive promotional communications from our web site by email, SMS, physical mail, and telephone.  If you receive promotional email or SMS messages from us and would like to opt out, you can do so by following the directions at the bottom of that message.  These choices do not apply to mandatory service communications that are part of the performance of certain title insurance issuance, real estate closing and / or settlement services.
